RE: Reservations for Arizona Winter

Don't let them scare you away from Tombstone Territories.
Sure it is cooler than Yuma BUT it is a beautiful area with ALOT more to see and do than the busy area of Yuma. All depends on what you want to do. Too crowded in Yuma and not a whole lot to do unless you like going to Casino's alot. In Tombstone area there are MANY places to go visit. My husband and I lived at TTRV for almost 3 years and loved it. Yes, it can get cold and snow can hit but it isn't but about 1/2 inch and only is around maybe a day or two.
TTRV has a beautiful indoor pool and spa. Huge clubhouse with lots of activities. Huge laundry. Small golf area. Library.
The sites are huge.
Anyway, enjoy and have a great time. Tell John (the owner) that Sheri sends a hug. Great people at TTRV....Really miss them.

In Oregon now?

Would like to hear from anyone now in Oregon.
At the moment I do not have an RV due to death of husband 6 months ago but would still like to visit with RV'ers in the area.
Miss the RV lifestyle alot. Miss going to the Oregon coast and just plain relaxing and visiting those cute small towns on the coast.
My daughter and her husband have a class C motorhome and we went camping for the first time with 2 1/2 year old twins. It was alot of fun, but boy did Gramma ever get her workout!

RE: Tucson,Az. best RV Resorts

My preference would be an RV Park out of town. Don't like the noise and traffic in Tucson. We loved Tombstone Territories RV Park near Tombstone, AZ. Only 45 minute drive to Tucson if you want or need to go to a BIG city.
BIG sites, no trains, no traffic and so much to see and do within a 50/100 mile radius. Beautiful park and great people.
Check out their web site tombstoneterritories.com
You won't be disappointed.

RE: Electrical & battery question

Thanks guys.
Don't have a battery charger but neighbor does. He said he could bring it over to charge the motor battery in a couple of days.
Thank God I am back up in Portland now. If was still in Sargent, TX I wouldn't have the RV neighbors to help. Living in regular house now but neighbor has a motorhome also.
I think my RV days are over now that my husband has passed away.
Thanks again.

Electrical & battery question

I am completely lost to anything on Motorhome.
May be a very dumb question but here goes.
Have M/H plugged into electric off house. Somehow cord became unhooked and the battery now on motor is completely dead.
Got it hooked back up to electric. So now, will motor battery get recharged?
Lost husband back in Feb. and he took care of everything. I am "lost" to everything right now.
Thanks......

RE: Texas S.E.Gulf Coast

If there was a "perfect" place to spend the winter months, it would be so-o-o full of RV'ers and packed in like Sardines, we wouldn't like it either.
Rockport/Fulton area was always my favorite. Some great RV Parks out of town towards Aransas Pass. Quiet, rustic, and very friendly people.
Yes, it can be windy and humid, but could accept that over COLD, WET, and SNOW anytime.
My husband and I enjoyed our winters down there in Texas Gulf Coast.
I will alway cherish our winters there. Fishing was super. Birdwatching was great.
You see, I just lost my husband, he was only 67, in February. Very unexpected. Now I am back up in Oregon where it is cold and wet. UGH.
I miss the great friends down in TX and the weather.
Cherish your time where ever you stay during the winters. Enjoy everything around you. I have no complaints or regrets of our 12 years of fulltiming and traveling together. I will greatly miss all that.
We were able to take a 6 month trip around the U.S. a couple of years ago. That is something I will never forget.
Enjoy and be safe.

TowMaster tow bar

My husband passed away a month ago. Left me lots of problems such as the following: I need to know what a Towmaster Tow Bar should sell for. Have no idea. Won't need it anymore. My RV'ing days are over.
Thank you for any input. Tow Bar is approx. 5 years old.

RE: Any good campgrounds in South Easter Arizona?

I vote for Tombstone Territories RV Park.
Pool, spa, mini golf course, lots of things to see and do in surrounding area. Hiking, bird watching, Tombstone, different mtn. ranges for hiking. Huge rec. hall, laundry (2), showers -- too much to mention. Centralized to see alot of different places. Ghost towns too.
Takes more than just a couple of days to see and do everything in area.
We love this park. Spacious sites with great scenery. Nice people.

RE: WINTER TEXAN RV.NET GATHERING

I am new to this. What does RVG stand for? Probably a dumb question but I see it written in postings alot.
How far is Donna from Mercedes? We will down there soon and probably be there for a couple of weeks for dentist visits in Progreso.
Might be able to attend. (2). Would like to if not too far a drive and mouth soreness is gone.
Thanks.

We need to go down that way very soon. Does anyone have a dentist down there they would recommend? Need one who will put us out while pulling teeth. Not all have that available. Thanks.
